Combining the Influence of the Home and Church For Greater Impact

Ascension Baptist Church believes in the family unit. We understand there are many phases of life or individual circumstance, but we desire to partner with parents, as well as families, to be the primary spiritual influencers in their child/children’s lives. We contribute to this partnership through highlighting beneficial resources, providing specific conferences/Bible studies, opportunities to engage your personal walk with God and other parents/grandparents. This partnership between our church and individual families helps develop a healthy, welcoming family of God, His church.

The resource page is designed for all phases of family life. Our desire is for you to find material, information, etc. to teach, train, equip, and support you. But most of all, we desire this page to be beneficial in assisting you to lead your child/children in developing a deep and personal relationship with God. For you to become intentional about the legacy your child/children leave, a legacy that will affect generations to come.

Insightful Youth Culture & Family Websites

We wanted to provide you with some TERRIFIC source for immeasurable information about current youth culture, family, and other real-life situation, from a Christian foundation.

Recommended "Good Reads"

We've compiled a list of books that we are recommending as “Good Reads”. Our desire is that these “Good Reads” would provide insight, challenge, and assist you and your family. I love the words of Dr. Seuss, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Our hope is, by the grace of God, that these “Good Reads” would be beneficial to you.

Media

"Technology has now become a primary source of information of our children.  Parents MUST understand that digital social media is more than just an important area of our children's lives. It has become a dominant force in shaping, containing, and expressing their intellectual, social, and moral development. In many ways, it is both the canvas and the paint with which they are creating their life murals. It is totally intertwined with their world and development, and you cannot adequately understand your child unless you have at least a basic understanding of their digitally wired social media world." Dr. Roger Butner, Hope for the Family
